PARIS - Lens defender Loick Landre has been suspended for seven matches by the French league for a violent tackle on Lorient midfielder Valentin Lavigne at the weekend.The leagues disciplinary commission announced the decision on Thursday following a meeting.Landre was sent off for the tackle, which took place in the 15th minute of the match that Lorient won 1-0 on Saturday.The 20-year-old Lavigne sustained a serious knee injury and will be sidelined for around three months.Lens is bottom of Ligue 1, with 11 points, two behind 17th-placed Lorient.Landre will miss games against Metz, Monaco, Lille, Montpellier, Nice, Guingamp and Lyon.
